Facilities, Relationships Highlight October Work Session

The Acacia Board of Directors met Friday, Oct. 2 for a work session in Shawnee, KS. The session focused on facilities, finances and alumni relations.
For facilities, the team received the report from the Mom's Club about future projects to improve the guest restroom. The BOD will review plans and have this on the agenda for the August 2010 work session.
The finance team submitted reimbursements to Nationals for addition funds to relieve our line of credit, which will be retired by the spring 2011. The 2010 dues process was discussed and reviewed. Recognition was also a topic.
Several potential nominations for new BOD members were discussed. The team also planned several upcoming events, including CORE sessions at the house, a November K-State basketball game and the 25th Anniversary of STAG in June 2010.
The next BOD meeting will be Jan. 16 as a part of the MOA Celebration in Manhattan.
