| MANHATTAN, Ks. - Eager to release their bottled energy from an unusually long winter, the Men of Acacia were out in full force during the week of April 18-24 to participate in the annual K-State Greek Week festivities.
The week was packed full of activities, including additional free lunches served to Greek students on campus and an elaborate point system to reward event participation. Acacia was well represented at all of the week's events, most notably so with a 2nd place finish in Chariot Racing at the Greek Olympics and Br. Robby Haynes '08 performance at Greek Idol on Wednesday night.
"It was fun to get the Greek community together for a time of fun, socializing, and competition," said Br. Andrew Broeckelman '09, Junior Dean and Acacia's Greek Week coordinator. "With Spring Finals looming around the corner, it was fun to get out and spend time with friends in the community."
As part of the Greek Idol event Wednesday night, the all-important homecoming and Greek Week partnerships were announced for the 2010-2011 academic year. Acacia's Fall homecoming partners will be Delta Delta Delta sorority and Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity, and our 2011 Greek Week partners will the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and Delta Upsilon fraternity.
